 | Walking
Urrugne itself already has magnificent walking
trips. At the Office de Tourisme you will be able to find walking trips from
5 to 18 kilometers in length. The nearby villages Itxassou and Sare are well
known for their beautiful walking environment. Further away St. Jean Pied de
Port is a good choice. |
 | Bicycling.
As a special service for our guests we have the
availability of two (mountain) bikes which can be rented for a day. The
bicycling trips in the local area vary between climbing steep mountains and
cruising on easy flat lowlands. The region is well known for it's bicycling
tours with events like the Classica San Sebastian. Unfortunately we have
very limited space to store bikes you bring along. |
 | Rafting
In a.o. Bidarray, Itxassou and
Saint-Pee-sur-Nivelle there are companies that specialise in Rafting. |
 | Divingn oone recommendation is Ciboure but there are
others. |
 | For windsurfing there's numerous possibilities in Ciboure as well |
 | St. Jean de Luz has the largest tuna harbour of
France. Deep sea fishing is one of the activities that can arranged. |
 | On nearly every beach there is a surf school.
From experience the waves in Biarritz are by far the best for this sport. |
 | Golf can
be found all over in villages like Ciboure, St. Jean de Luz, Illbarritz and
of course the internationally known course of Biarritz. Enclosed
list will give you a good overview as well as contact details. |
 | Of course Tennis, Squash are also
options that are within reach from Jeanette Baïta. |
 | Ski. In the winter period
there's a lot of chances to ski. The distance to the slopes is a little
longer, but still within a few hours of driving. Places to consider are
La Pierre St Martin and Gourette
(both about 130 kilometers from Urrugne). |
